wow x wow expo

Aujourd’hui c’est le lancement de la nouvelle galerie en ligne de  » wowxwow« . L’exposition s’appelle « Lightning bolts and little sparks » . C’est une très grosse expo d’ailleurs, elle contient plus d’une cinquantaine d’oeuvres d’artistes extrêmement talentueux et c’est un honneur pour moi d’avoir été inclus dans ce projet! Merci Tim!

Ma toile s’appelle « Maybe Soon » et elle met en scène la jolie Anh Wisle qui a bien voulu être mon modèle. Cette toile est une continuation de me plus récent travail, inspiré par les peurs, les émotions sombres, apprendre a vivre avec cette noirceur, accepter nos fragilités et en sortir plus fort.

Cette toile pour moi est à propos du point ou on aimerait sortir de notre zone de confort, de notre cocon, mais sans nécessairement être prêt pour franchir cette étape. C’est se sentir sur le bord de plonger sans en être tout à fait capable.

**Today is the launch of the new online gallery of « wowxwow« . The first exhibit is called « Lightning bolts and little sparks ». It’s a big show by the way, there is more than 50 pieces from different amazing artists and it’s an honor for me to be included in this project! Thank you Tim!

My piece is called « Maybe Soon » and it features the beautiful Anh Wisle that accepted to model for me. For this piece, I wanted to do a continuation of my most recent body of work, inspired by fears, dark emotions and learning to live with that darkness, accepting our fragilities and ultimately emerging stronger.

This piece, for me, is about the point where you want to step outside of your comfort zone, your cocoon, but are not necessarily ready to take that step. You are very close to it, but not exactly there.

Cette oeuvre fait partie de ma série « Bandits ». Mon travail traite beaucoup de la peur, des inquiétudes. Cette série a été inspiré par le syndrome de l’imposteur.

Bitter / Sweet

La semaine prochaine aura lieu l’exposition de groupe « Bitter /Sweet » à la galerie 19 Karen en Australie. Cette expo est organisé par le magasine Beautiful Bizarre et la galerie. Plusieurs artistes dont moi-même ont créé deux oeuvres; une sous le thème « Bitter » et l’autre « Sweet ». Pour plus d’information je vous invite à visiter le site web de la galerie.

** Next week will open »Bitter/Sweet », a group show curated by Beautiful Bizarre Magazine at 19 Karen contemporary art space in Australia. Artists including myself were asked to create two pieces based on the theme Bitter and Sweet. For more info about the show check the gallery’s website.

I was lucky enough to have the beautiful and talented artist « Octoplum » to model for me for both my pieces!

Hi!

Last week was the opening of my solo show « When the light goes out » at Modern Eden gallery in San Francisco! It was such a wonderful night. If you were not able to see the show in person, it can now be viewed online here. The show will be up until December 30th  2016. 

Here’s some info about the show:

« When the light goes out » is when our last hope fades away. It’s about the insecurities that inhabit us. The light goes out, and we are left with nothing but the darkness…

In this new body of work, I’m exploring, through the eyes of different women characters, the various fears and dark emotions that we have in the deepest recesses of our mind. These women are left alone with these feelings and fears that we ourself try to forget and try to bury.

This exhibition explores a grim theme but it is also about trying to overcome our issues, learning to live with that darkness, accepting our fragilities, and ultimately emerging stronger. This is my most intimate body of work yet.

Je suis de retour de la Californie! Ce fut une semaine remplie d’émotions!! Le vernissage de l’expo a été vraiment génial. J’ai passé une superbe soirée, merci à Kim et Bradley de la galerie Modern Eden!

I’m back from my trip to California! It was a week full of emotions!! The opening night was really amazing. I had a wonderful night thanks to Kim and Bradley from Modern Eden gallery! My parents and my man were there to support me and a lot of my artists friends came to show their support too!! It warmed my heart so much!

Mon exposition solo « When the light goes out » approche à grand pas!! Je suis très fébrile en ce moment.
